ok maybe the title is a little too dramatic, but I seem to be good at that. Today was the last day of Pathology examinations, and hopefully the last of it for good. This topic has plagued medical students for years! I remember one of our first lecturers said "pathology, I dont like teaching it and you wont like learning it" and I guess that can summarize what it has been for the past 4years of this course (we started mainly in 2nd year, but histology is a subsection of pathology really). All those hours attempting to remember the most useless receptors and gene mutations, all useless now...and as a personal guarantee I WILL FORGET THEM even if it means drowning them out with some other useless information, such as the difference between a rococo or a baroque piece of furniture, or the positive aspects of lead free paint!
No more shall we suffer under the most useless biochemistry questions or be baffled by vague hematology values!!!!
